Asthma Blushing & Rosacea
During an asthma attack, one cannot expel carbon dioxide due constriction of the breathing pathways. In order to inhale oxygen, you must first expel carbon dioxide, the lack of oxygen results in a red, flushed facial appearance. Asthma partially results from an immune system malfunction often allergy, pollen or stress related. While not a true rosacea facial flush, it is common for people with rosacea to also suffer from asthma.
